where’s that goddamn post i made about romeo and juliet
No. No, you don’t. Look, not only did the two of them end up dying, their entire relationship kind of sucked even while they were alive. Romeo was on the rebound from some chick who decided to be a nun, and he became obsessed with Juliet after crashing her dad’s party and seeing how hot she was. Then he proceeded to stupidly trespass into her backyard and spy on her for a while, until he announced his presence and immediately started getting really pushy with her and telling her they were going to get married so he could do her. Juliet had the iota of good sense to say, “Wait a sec, isn’t this going a little bit fast?” but Romeo got bitchy about it and she gave in after half a second. Then they got married.
Basically, Romeo acts all flowery and pathetic for a little while, then decides that Juliet is going to marry him and she is going to damn well like it, and she just kind of goes along with the whole thing. Oh, and then they die.
Not exactly an ideal relationship model.
